TimeSearchers: Hanging Birds

I groaned in pain, opening my eyes as I picked my head up looking around of my own surroundings. Feeling the winds bursting through my furs, I stretched out my wings and yawned scratching the back of my head. I had wondered where I was as I looked around once more. Noticing the blue skies mixed together with the white clouds forming around me, I blinked and stayed to silent carefully keeping my breath to myself as I walked through upon the silver metal platform underneath of me. It was shiny and the sun's rays kept reflecting off from it, some of the rays fell into my eyes temporally blinding me somehow. But as I reached off upon the edge, I glared down onto the high floors below me and gasped. The grounds were small impossible to see the details underneath of me, but I had wanted to see what's there. So bringing my wings up upon my sides, I flapped silently but quickly descending down from the silver platform that I was on and stared down onto the grounds below of me. With each flap of my wing, I felt the winds calmly blowing through my fur but my eyes were down below as I saw a bit of green detail underneath, I smiled without hesitation and continued downward, my heart beats excitedly as I wondered what the lands were liked. However, by the time I had reached upon of the lands, I stopped and landed. Where flowers bloomed all around of me, I blinked and said nothing curiously wondering where I was. I decided to walk around for a little bit before hearing something in the distance.

For I turned my head to the direction of the noise, looking down onto the horizon and spotted something a figure was there temporarily grabbing hold onto the flowers. Without warning, I walked forth shouting and waving at him hoping to get his attention. I smiled in response when he stopped and faced me. But again something was wrong, it was something that I myself couldn't put my wing onto it. I continued to greet my host and waved him down as he stood there motionless his basket dropped onto the ground. I stopped in response and wondered what he was doing; but we all stood upon one another at arm's length. Worried and fearful of what would happen, I stepped back and shook my head. As sweat began to fall from my head dropping down onto the grass below damping them a bit, the figure walked slowly at first. All I could hear was the footsteps that he was making but his face was expressionless. I stepped back wondering what he was going to do; as my eyes widen in fear and I turned around running straight through upon the grass fields hoping that he himself wouldn't catch him. But it was already too late; for some strange reason by any lucky chance he got, he already grabbed me. A weird loud noise blared through my ears as I had thought they were going to bleed; but it didn't and I screamed in response. Jolting awake upon the silver moving platform that I was hugging upon, I realized that it wasn't real and rose my wing onto my head. Noticing that then I had a headache from that… that, actually I don't know what it was honestly. I looked around, noticing that I was in the same atmosphere as in the dream. Fearing that the dream would come true, I stepped away from the edges of the platform I was standing on as it carried me all the way through.

I sighed and pondered through my head; thinking of the questions that emerged wondering as to what that dream was about after all. "It sounded… so real… as if-" I spoke to myself as I heard something in the distance, I turned my head away and noticed a cyber tunnel before of me. The inner corridors were dark, only a handful of lights shimmer into my eyes. As the platform carried me into it disappearing once without hesitation; I was left to an abandoned room no one was running or greeting me about but I frowned and got up. I walked out from the platform and onto of the metal floors below me feeling the textures running against the foot of my legs as my eyes feasted onto the new atmosphere around me. I was grim and I said nothing. There were two doors in front of me; both of them were blue and both were blinking red. I walked up to them and picked one of the doors entering in as it moved upward upon my recognition. I entered into the hallway; but it was so dark and impossible to see anything. Without another question lingering into my head; I stepped into the hallway and glanced around. The hallway was full of empty rooms each of them were locked and inaccessible to those who were knew. I even tried the door that was in front of me; but it was locked somehow. I decided not to pester them and walked down the hallways keeping my ears up while I listened to my surroundings. "Was it like the scientist room? Was it like the rooms in the past?" I wondered, glittering upon the walls as they were shiny blue and yellow; some of the walls were also green and red. The walls that I has passed off were gray and an empty dark opened room inside of it. I maneuver my way around the place, looking around hoping that I would be able to find someone or something that would help me get out of the hallways and into of my chosen rooms.

But like I said no one was here; it was as if this place was a ghost time and it just happens that I had entered into their own platforms sucking me into this sick twisted game… somehow. Clearly knowing that no one was around, I gave a sigh and shook my head long before glancing upon the hallway where I had stopped. Noticing the darkness and the red lights that were beeping in my eyes, I blinked and smiled wondering if this would be my room and I entered into the darkness. My eyes and my body glowed well into the dark as the red buttons kept blinking underneath my silver feathers. "Was this place forgotten and abandoned? What happen here…?" I stuttered thinking to myself as I scanned upon the opened or halfway opened doors on either side of me. Inside of those rooms were dry blood and clothes; some of the rooms had a hints of green and a tail. But one room stood out to me and I couldn't help but noticed it as I stood there and widen my eyes in fear. A dragon to whose scales were green, his wings were of red outlines with a hint of green colored in the inner walls of the outline red. The tail was three triangles each colored red and green. But the goggles that the dragon was wearing were tainted red. He seems to be sleeping or is dying as of right now. As I approached the slightly opened door grabbing hold onto the edges as the dragon lifted his head up and glared at me. He was fearful the same as me; he tried shifting away but his body was too stunned for him to do so. I walked closely to him and lowered my wing; but the growled grunted at me and snorted. Shifting his head over to the window as he growled, "Get out" I stopped and looked at him as he met my eyes; his voice was sharper than he was the first time around "Get out before he gets you!" "Who's he?" I exclaimed

He stood to silenced, didn't say anything in response to me. For his final breaths was of a chuckle as his eyes closed he made one last move and rolled to his belly as he lay there dead his wings spread. I saw three yellow notes, all three of them imprinted in black ink written upon them said of a warning, "Heed their warnings, I come through the night. You'll know when the lights flickered in the sounding darkness-" My head snapped towards the door as I heard something in the silence. Gasping for breath, I stepped back from the doors and onto the windows. Nearly tripping over the dragon's tail as I reached the windows, I grabbed hold upon the window behind me and opened it. Revealing a gust of winds that blue through the chills of the room, I myself was frighten and I stepped back towards the windows' edge and climbed up long before shifting my weight back. From there of, I fell from the dying room where memories flooded my mind. I growled and gritting my beak; telling myself "I will survive as I had been in the last eleven stories ago…" I began to mutter it several more each time it became slower and quieter than the last as the gravity continued to push me down I felt the winds pushing me in the opposite direction. It was as if a tug of war for my body as my eyes soon began to closed I grinned to myself and smiled, my life flashes before my eyes. "Am I to die here and now?" I began to wonder to myself doubting of my ability of a long time survivor. As the gravity continued to push me down; throwing my body onto the grassy plains as I opened my eyes and stared onto the object in the skies above me. I've noticed that it wasn't just an abandoned thing; it was an airplane and it seems to be moving in the direction of the horizon. I smiled to myself and turned my head pointing my eyes to the ground as I realized that I was closer to the ground. "Only a few more…" I muttered as I felt an impact jolting through my body as I fainted where I had landed; I died? Preposterous! I never die…

I remained motionless for minutes maybe hours. My wings laid upon my sides ass my eyes remained closed giving the fact that I was still breathing somehow. How had I survived? It was impossible to know that question; as I flinched and frowned. Opening my eyes, I realized that I was in silent opened plains with nothing to worry about. I grinned to myself in response to this, while I stretched my wings and got up. Folding them onto my sides while I looked around the plains, silence came upon me it was hard not to miss it after all. While I stepped forth removing myself from the shades that I was under and walked into the light; I stared ahead my mind wondered where to go. Raising my head onto the strange object in the skies, I wondered about that dying dragon who had just talked to me with his quotes sticking onto my body like glue… which is impossible to remove without wetting and I don't me waste. I gave a sigh and shakes my head then spreading my wings out I flew to a nearby place that I could think of hoping to find that last crystal shard that I had needed all my life. To where I had landed onto the rooftops of the city; I scanned my eyes upon my surroundings hoping to see a sparkle or something along of those lines. I saw nothing in related to it and for it I growled impatiently before looking over my shoulder. The city was vast and big, with no way on intending where that last crystal was. Where buildings of all sizes and colors mixed together to form a big colony; sometimes I had wondered "Why did this place was abandoned? Who would inhabit this place?" I shook my head and gritting my beak; however before I could move any further I heard something in the distances.

I didn't know what I was expecting when I heard something behind of me. As I turned my head around towards the plains behind, there I saw it but I don't know what it is actually. Its eyes turned to me where the shiny red eyes glowed among the darkness of the trees where it sparkled. I frowned a bit frighten; "Is the crystal there?" I began to wonder to myself, hoping a bit forward to the edge of the rooftops staring down onto the forest before me. I remained motionless. I didn't know how to response to it as billions of questions was thrown at me and I didn't have a baseball bat to hit a homerun with… wait, wrong analogy. But I swallowed whatever I had inside of my beak and spreading my wings, I took to the cold skies. Flying forth towards the forest behind of me, there I stopped landing onto one of the weaker branches and glanced down onto the dirty grounds below. I said nothing, my fear was greater than I was. I stood there and said nothing but taking a sigh I hovered down and planted my feet upon the grounds where I had began walking. I knew that I had to find that last crystal, but my doubts were starting just as I had resumed walking. Was it weird? I wondered about that too. As my eyes scanned the darken horizon, hearing nothing but the sounds of my footsteps walking about. I heard a sudden crack and I turned whipping my head around, looking more worried by the second. I wanted to open my mouth to mutter that "This is all a dream…" But was it really? Saying nothing I shut my beak and turned my attention towards the darken horizon as I resumed walking a bit, I stared out into the mellows and waited. My footsteps giving away my position each time but it was perhaps worth it in the end. I continued on and on repeatedly; hearing those same cracking noises scattered around me. Some of those noises were loud and near startling me a bit; the remaining of them were faint perhaps fake I think. But I don't want to go through the details of them after all as I walked until I stopped; noting the brighten sun before of me.

For I frowned in response and gulped once more, I took a step forward and continued bringing myself into the sunlight where I had disappeared from the forest. Reappearing once again into a tree bark and I opened my eyes a bit awe at my surroundings. The beautiful skies was hovering above of me, no clouds was there to hinder it. Where white and golden butterflies flew around of one another resting among the flowers below of it, I stood in front of the tree bark where there was an medium opening before of me. Something sparkled inside of it, I was entrance and walked forth reaching out with my wings towards of the crystal. I saw it in my eyes; my heart beats faster than I had anticipated. For when I grabbed it, suddenly I began to glow. I had wondered why but I guess I'll revealed it in the next story perhaps as I grinned and clapped my feet together; dancing in victory now that I had obtained all eight crystals.

Recently obtaining the seventh shard; Laborc has to find the eight which was located somewhere within the forest once again. With no enemies in sight, will Laborc take his time in finding the shard?
